Getting My Canada Visitor Visa – My Experience
Applying for a Canadian visitor visa was something I had been thinking about for a while. I’ve always wanted to explore places like Vancouver, Toronto, and of course, see the natural beauty of the Rockies. But first—I had to get that visa!
The process started with gathering the right documents. I made sure my passport was valid, prepared my bank statements, and collected documents that showed I had strong ties to my home country—like a letter from my employer and proof of property. I also wrote a simple travel itinerary outlining where I planned to stay and what I wanted to see.
I applied online, filled out the forms carefully, uploaded my documents, and paid the application fee. After that, I received an email asking me to go give my biometrics—fingerprints and a photo—at a nearby visa application center.
Waiting for the result felt long, but after a few weeks, I got the approval email. I sent in my passport and got the visa sticker soon after.
